WaHooooo!!!!!! We got our CA yesterday. We will have our Consulate Appointment February 27, 2008 at 10am. We will take an oath to promise to love and provide for our little Laura February 28,2008 and then we are free to come home.

So, we will leave for China February 14 and arrive on the 15th in Lanzhou. Due to family matters that are unavoidable, we will not tour Beijing but go straight to Laura's province. We get Laura, just as we hoped, on February 17!!

We will fly to Guangzhou February 22. We will do some touring there while waiting for our CA.
We will return home February 29.

Please pray for a safe and uneventful travel for us! We are excited and looking forward to Gotcha Day, Februaruy 17. 24 days to Laura!!!!!!!

This is my sister Jonya with her 3 year old daughter Carrie Grace. We had just served lunch for over 100 people on Thanksgiving Day. Jonya was relaxing and visiting with some of the guests that we had served. She is a dynamic speaker and great teacher. They live in Tye, TX which is near Abilene. She has two other children. An 11 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. She is always laughing and encouraging people. Her husband works in their family business and is a very devoted father. He's a riot actually!!!! I am very proud of my sister and her family. May God bless them.

The Time is Drawing Nigh

Hi Friends. I just wanted to say that if we are able to travel at our desired dates (February 12 to February 27) we have exactly 28 days until Gotcha Day. Which means that we will see our precious little Laura for the first time 4 weeks from today!!!!

So, in 29 days, we sign the adoption paperwork and she officially and legally becomes a member of the Lindsey family!!! And, in 38 days, we touch back down in the good ole USA and Laura Abigail FuJuan Lindsey will be an American citizen. AND, that means she will be sleeping in her lovely little bed right beside mine in 38 days!!!!!!!! I am so excited.

Now, CCAA MUST cooperate with us and send our TA this week and the US Consulate in China must cooperate with us and schedule our CA on Feb. 25, 2008. Pray for these dates as we are so tired of waiting for our little girl!!

It sounds weird, but I miss her. How can you miss someone you have never met? Well, my friend Kim Rutherford put is so clearly to me.....She said, "It is because she is already yours in your spirit because God knew long ago that she is your daughter. When you (me) realized that Laura was to be yours, your spirit was prepared to be her mother. Mothers miss their kids when they are away from home."
Kim is a very wise lady.

God bless all of you. Thank you for sharing this very exciting time in our life and rejoicing with us in the "birth" of our newest child.

Thank You Friends

Thanks to all of our friends who have contributed to our adoption fund by sending money directly to us instead of our Chip-in account, and the sale of 50 trees from our tree farm, our financial need has been greatly reduced. We now only need about $2500.00 more!!! I am unable to change the chip-in ticker to reflect this change but wanted to update everyone! We hope to get our TA this week and then we can make plans for travel. Once again, thank you so much for contributing to our fund to get Laura home to her forever family. God bless all of you.

OH WHAT A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Well, after waiting for what seemed forever, our LOA arrived at our house December 31, 2007 at 10:00 CST!!!! We quickly signed it and checked the "Yes, we want this child" box and rushed off to Corsicana to overnight the LOA back to CHI. It will arrive NO LATER than 10:30 am on Wednesday morning and CHI will promptly mail it back to CCAA.

Now, let me explain what happens next. We must wait, hopefully no more that 2-3 weeks for CCAA to send us our TA (travel approval) which says, "Come and get your child now!". Once we have our TA, CHI will make an appointment with the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China. This appointment is called our CA and it is when we get Laura's visa to enter the US and become an American citizen. Once we have our CA in Guangzhou, we have permission to bring Laura home to Fairfield. We are really hoping for our appointment to be February 25, 2008. Then, we will make all of our travel plans and leave for China.

We want to leave February 12 and tour Beijing for 2 days before going on to Laura's province, Gansu, and getting Laura on February 17! This date also happens to be my father's birthday. I am so excited for him as he is turning 62 and will get his 10th grandchild AND his Social Security in the same year!!!!!!! So, please pray the we can get our Consulate Appointment for February 25 and that we can leave February 12!!!

Happy New Year to all of our family and friends. We pray for God to bless you with love, laughter, happiness, and prosperity in 2008.
