Easter 2008

We celebrated Easter all weekend. On Saturday, we spent the day fishing, eating, playing, visiting, and egg hunting at the family camphouse. My Grandfather, Frank Ward, was there to watch his family fellowship together. It is an annual affair and we all look forward to the day. The sunshine was beautiful and the trees were budding. All of the children enjoyed hunting eggs. Last year, my aunt got married during the celebration in the SNOW! This year, we were in shorts and tshirts and sweating! Weather in Texas........
Laura had a blast. Our family is so big I can't help but think that she is always wondering why we make such a big deal about how many people are in China!!! She got to swing, hunt eggs, meet more family, eat hot dogs and play in the dirt. It is so fun watching her see and do new things. I really wish I knew what she is thinking.
Justin came for a little while. It sure was good to see him. But he had a motorcycle race and so he and Brad were off to Malakoff to get ready for the race! Lela had to work so she wasn't there. When your kids grow up you just have to enjoy them when you can!
We also had a baby shower yesterday to celebrate the birth of my grandfather's 8th great-great grandchild! Yes, we had 5 generations at the camphouse yesterday! We laughed and ate, and talked and ate, and played and ate.......you get the picture. My grandfather handed over the grilling of the meat to my uncle a year or 2 ago. But Uncle Willie was unable to cook this year so my dad had to do it. He cooked chickens, and pork tenderloins, and sausages, and weiners, and briskets! I vote for him to cook again next year!
Sunday, we went to church and celebrated the Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus. We are so blessed to be able to worship Jesus so freely. I am sooo glad he isn't in the grave anymore and we are free from the bondage of sin and death. He is alive, my friends. And he wants to live in your heart. All you have to do is ask Him. He is on the throne at the right hand of God and waiting to enter your life. Don't live another day without Him.
We had a blessed time at church. Thank you, Jesus, for your Passion for the entire world. Let us have your same passion for the lost.
