The RACE of Life?

I was just thinking.....the Bible teaches husbands and wives to be "heirs together in the grace of life."

It seems to me that married people have misunderstood this verse. They have left out the G. They are trying to be heirs together in the RACE of life. The race to have the last word, the race for success and popularity, the race to control the relationship, the race toward bitterness, unforgiveness, and divorce. Then, they truly become the "heirs apart in the race of life".

What if married couples tried what the Bible really says, "heirs together in the GRACE of life"?
The GRACE to let the other person have the last word, the GRACE for contentment and thankfulness, the GRACE to forgive and love each other regardless of their shortcomings?
Then, they truly become the "heirs together in the grace of life."

No unhappy insecure children, no issues to drag from relationship to relationship, total peace within yourself because you harbor no bitterness toward anyone. A relaxed and joyful home free from anxiety and where your children grow up happy and secure without worries and strife.

Oh, how I wish people would clean out theirs ears so they could hear the truth of this wonderful promise from God. What a better world this would be.
