Gotcha Day

Well, Laura is ours. She hasn't cried yet. She is very happy. She is laying on the bed playing with toys while her Daddy and Granddaddy admire her.
Her brothers adore her and so far Luke hasn't been very jealous. Yet...
She is very beautiful and she smiles alot.
They brought her late because of the snow last night. So we had to wait until noon.
We are very happy that we finally have her.
Sally has been great. She is very friendly and we have a great time talking. More to come. I am missing out on my bonding time. Oh, her Granddaddy thinks she really cute.

Incredible! The boys' expressions in that first picture are just priceless--really, that is a picture that needs to be in some beautiful book about adoption.
Congratulations to the whole family!!

Tonya,
I am SO HAPPY that Laura is fitting right in! Who would have thought when we met in 6th grade (just a few short years ago, wasn't it???) that we would both grow up to be Mommies of so many beautiful children, both bio and Chinese! I am so blessed by your friendship, and can't wait to meet Laura! Tell the boys "Hi" from all of us. Don't worry about the smooth transisition that Laura has had so far, it is answered prayer, not any kind of attachment concern. God has given her peace in her little spirit that she is with her family, and she knows she is finally "home". Celebrate and enjoy every second in China, it goes by too fast, but the memories last a lifetime. Happy Birthday to "Granddaddy" from the Rutherfords! Love to all of you! Kim & everyone else in the family!

Bet getting to China was only a bit more difficult than me geting to this blog. LoL. How different Laura looks from her other pics. She is so cute, can't wait to get my hands on her. The boys look great, none the worse for wear and tear, including Big B. I am so happoy everything is going so well, and fingers crossed re: the ride home. Love and kisses to all. Looks like the Andrews family might have a slender person in our family. Kisses, from mom, Mimi and Sara
